The Riverside Community Hospital Transitional Year Residency program is an ACGME accredited one-year program with 20 positions. It offers a flexible curriculum with five blocks of electives to personalize your educational needs. The program is designed to serve as a launching point for transitioning into an advanced categorical residency, allowing residents to work alongside faculty and residents from various ACGME approved programs.
The program is situated in sunny Southern California in the Inland Empire, boasting a 517-bed referral center with a brand new tower built in 2017. It is the only Level 1 trauma center in Riverside County and sees approximately 118,000 ED visits per year. Additionally, the program provides opportunities to collaborate with faculty, residents, and students from UC Riverside School of Medicine.
The Riverside Transitional Year Residency program is focused on developing the next generation of physicians and physician leaders.
