The Lake Granbury Medical Center Dermatology Residency Program, accredited by the ACGME, is an ambulatory-based program accepting applications for three PGY2 residents to start on July 1, 2024, with plans for a full complement of nine residents in the future. The primary clinical site is Bare Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center / Cockerell Dermatology, offering a diverse patient base for a strong general dermatology experience. Specialty experiences include dermatopathology, inpatient consults, complex medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and laser therapy.
Residents will have didactic sessions locally and regionally, participate in a research curriculum, and engage in sessions with program faculty both in-person and virtually. They will work with renowned faculty in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including rotations with Dr. William Abramovits, Dr. Clay Cockerell, Dr. Aaron Farberg, Dr. Natalie Wright, Dr. Dario Kivelevitch, and Dr. Heather Volkman.
Throughout the program, residents will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of dermatology, including general dermatology, dermatopathology, surgical dermatology, dermatological hospital consults, and pediatric dermatology. A cosmetic dermatology experience will also be part of the curriculum with Dr. Martin Kassir.
The program provides a comprehensive and dynamic learning environment aimed at supporting residents' personal and professional growth within the field of dermatology.
