The program's mission is to set the standard of excellence in radiation oncology education, aiming to train independent radiation oncologists, leaders in research, clinical care, and education, in an inclusive and diverse learning environment.

Clinical rotations comprise at least 36 months of required training in various subspecialty areas of radiation oncology. Residents can choose elective or specialized rotations for the remaining 12 months. Research involvement is expected, with opportunities for up to 12 months of dedicated research time and presentations at scientific societies.

The program emphasizes mentorship, with a dedicated research committee guiding residents throughout their research period. Academic conferences, including diversity and inclusion efforts, are integral components of the training. The program complies with ACGME regulations regarding resident work hours and offers authorized leave.

All applications for the program must be submitted to the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Applicants selected for interviews will meet with faculty members, the department chair, and current residents.
