The training sites include the Reid Health system, which offers a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services across multiple counties in Indiana and Ohio. This includes facilities like Rosebud Village, Indiana Nephrology & Internal Medicine, and University Dermatology, where residents gain invaluable long-term care experience and specialized knowledge.

Application Process and Requirements

Applicants to the Reid Family Medicine Residency must meet certain criteria to be considered for the program. Preferred candidates should have graduated from medical school within the last five years and must possess passing scores on the USMLE or COMLEX exams (USMLE score minimum of 227 or COMLEX 2 score of at least 450). Notably, the residency does not sponsor visas, although international candidates with ECFMG certification may apply.

Applicants are required to provide a complete set of materials, including three letters of recommendation, medical school transcripts, and a personal statement that addresses their interest in family medicine and the Reid program specifically. The residency generally accepts six new residents each year.
