Program Overview

Application Requirements

Applications must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS), and the program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). The following are basic requirements for application consideration:

  • U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or eligibility for a visa.
  • International medical graduates must possess valid Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification or a full, unrestricted medical license in the U.S. by the employment start date.
  • Completed applications must include an official Dean’s letter, three letters of recommendation, a personal statement, a current CV, medical school transcripts, and USMLE or COMLEX scores.

Preference is given to applicants who have U.S. healthcare experience and have graduated or are set to graduate with an MD or DO degree within two years of application. All USMLE or COMLEX Step 1 must be passed on the first attempt, and applicants wishing to obtain an H-1B visa must have passed Step 3 8.

Visa Support

The program offers visa sponsorship, specifically H-1B visas, to eligible candidates who have successfully completed USMLE Step 3. Candidates must also be aware that any costs associated with the premium processing of the visa will be their responsibility 8.

Compensation and Benefits

The program provides a competitive salary and benefits package. For the academic year 2024-2025, the salary schedule is as follows:

  • PGY-1: $63,650
  • PGY-2: $65,882
  • PGY-3: $68,126
