Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida Program

The Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida Program offers a Pathology Residency Program focused on developing and enhancing pathologists in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. The program provides a comprehensive curriculum, including rotations in Anatomic Pathology in the first two years and Clinical Pathology in the last two years, covering areas such as hematopathology, transfusion medicine, clinical chemistry, and microbiology. The program also includes laboratory administration involvement for third and fourth-year residents. Residents are encouraged to participate in conferences, diverse teaching settings, and faculty development sessions.

The program also emphasizes career guidance, assisting residents in choosing their career paths, mentorship, and fellowship advocacy. The commitment to education is demonstrated through multiple educational conferences covering various aspects of pathology. Residents are given opportunities to present at conferences and are exposed to a wide range of pathology cases to refine their diagnostic skills.

Application requirements for the program include a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree granted within ten years of the application year, USMLE or COMLEX scores, letters of recommendation, a personal statement, and other standard materials. International medical graduates must have an ECFMG certificate and be legally eligible to work in the United States. The program supports J-1 visas only.
