The Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida Psychiatry Residency Training Program aims to produce competent psychiatrists who hold high academic, clinical, and professional standards. The curriculum includes comprehensive training in psychiatry in both inpatient and outpatient settings, following ACGME requirements. Residents are prepared for board certification by the ABPN upon successful completion of the program. The program offers rotations in various areas of psychiatry, such as inpatient, emergency, primary care/internal medicine, child psychiatry, and more.

Residents play an active role in curricular offerings, rotations, and goal-setting. Supervision and feedback from faculty are provided regularly, and residents gradually transition to increased responsibility throughout the program.

The program comprises three positions annually and accepts applications via ERAS. Application requirements include three letters of recommendation, USMLE scores of 170 or higher on both parts, ECFMG certification, and passing scores on USMLE Step 1 to obtain an interview. The program only accepts J-1 visas for training.
