Inpatient Adult Urology (7 months)

At Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, APP fellows engage in patient consultations, postoperative management, and active participation in surgical procedures. Responsibilities include conducting history and physical examinations, daily patient rounds, writing progress notes, entering admission orders, and assisting with procedures.

Outpatient Adult Urology (4 months)

This rotation encompasses the outpatient management of urological conditions, including preoperative and postoperative care. Fellows provide care in private offices and at the Edgewood Surgery Clinic, specifically on Tuesday mornings.

Pediatric Urology (1 month)

During this rotation, fellows will assist in surgical procedures within the operating room and gain exposure through shadowing efforts focused on pediatric urology management.

Learning Opportunities and Conferences

The fellowship includes regular educational components, such as:

Journal Club

Conducted bi-monthly on Mondays from 18:30 to 20:00 at different sites to discuss current research and developments.

Morbidity & Mortality Conference

Takes place bi-monthly on Wednesdays from 07:00 to 08:00 at Greenville Memorial Hospital, focusing on case evaluations and learning from adverse outcomes.

Didactic Lectures and Biweekly Sessions

Sessons are held every one to two weeks, covering topics such as Anatomy and Physiology, Urodynamics, Neurourology, and various urological diseases including Prostate Cancer and Sexual Health.

Textbooks and Resources

The program utilizes essential texts including:
