St. Luke's Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship Program is a one-year ACGME accredited program located at the Anderson Campus in Easton, Pennsylvania, designed for individuals pursuing specialized training in clinical neurophysiology. The program specifically aims to prepare fellows to excel in the field, providing them with the necessary skills for the ABPN Clinical Neurophysiology Board Examination.

During the fellowship, one fellow is accepted each year. Curriculum Overview

The curriculum at St. Luke’s has evolved to include two distinct training tracks for fellows starting in the 2025-2026 academic year: a predominantly epilepsy-focused track and a split EEG/EMG track. The EEG-predominant track consists of approximately 70% of training related to EEG and epilepsy management, 20% in neuromuscular disorders and electromyography (EMG), and 10% in intraoperative monitoring and sleep medicine. In contrast, the split track is balanced, providing an equal focus on EEG/epilepsy and neuromuscular/EMG practices.

The fellowship is structured into 13 four-week rotations, allowing for substantial hands-on experience in various critical areas:

• Epilepsy Monitoring Unit/Long-term Monitoring (6 blocks)
• Outpatient EEG/Epilepsy Clinic (3 blocks)
• EMG/Neuromuscular Clinic (3 blocks)
• Sleep/IOM (1 block)

Research Opportunities

Research is an integral part of the fellowship experience, where fellows are encouraged to engage in ongoing independent projects aligned with their interests in seizure disorders and neuromuscular conditions. Faculty mentors provide support and expertise to fellows, facilitating their participation in scholarly activities while fostering critical assessment of medical literature. Research interests amongst faculty include quality improvement in epilepsy care, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and psychogenic non-epileptic seizures, among others.
