• Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital: A county hospital serving a primarily uninsured population, providing invaluable exposure to community health issues.
• C.E. Odom Pediatric Adolescent Center: A primary care clinic catering to the pediatric population, including a focus on Spanish-speaking families.
• MD Anderson Cancer Center: Provides intensive training in pediatric oncology, where residents collaborate closely with specialists.
• UT Physicians Clinics: Serves as an outpatient setting offering both primary and subspecialty pediatric services.

Research Opportunities

The program supports a Research Pathway, encouraging residents interested in academic careers. The Accelerated Research Pathway (ARP) allows pediatric residents to complete training in two years, incorporating an extra research year, while the Integrated Research Pathway (IRP) facilitates 24 months of clinical residency combined with 12 months of research.
