Arnot Ogden Medical Center Transitional Year Program provides a comprehensive 1-year training experience in a community hospital setting in upstate New York. The program has received ACGME initial accreditation and offers core rotations in family medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, and ICU.

They can accommodate residents matched into PGY 2 for various specialties such as anesthesia, diagnostic radiology, and more. The program is transitioning to monthly block scheduling starting July 1, 2023. Residents receive ACLS and PALS training and have access to a wellness program.

The teaching faculty includes experienced professionals such as Rossi Brown, DO, Program Director, and Alicia Shaikh, DO. Residents attend specialty-specific didactics, participate in journal clubs, sim labs, and grand rounds. Elective opportunities and personal time off days are also provided.

The program offers rotations in outpatient and inpatient pediatrics, inpatient family medicine, emergency medicine, ICU, as well as elective blocks. Residents also have opportunities for administrative and scholarly activities during the administrative rotation.
