The Broward Health Plastic Surgery Residency Program is an independent, three-year ACGME accredited program. The program accepts one resident per year for three years, with a total of six residents across Broward Health and Cleveland Clinic Florida. Residents will receive a comprehensive education in all aspects of Plastic Surgery, including private practices, pediatric surgery, burn surgery, cosmetic surgery, and reconstructive surgery.
The curriculum is divided between Cleveland Clinic Florida and the Broward Health Hospital system. Residents will gain exposure to various specialties such as complex reconstructive procedures, microsurgery, breast reconstruction, hand surgery, and outpatient cosmetic procedures.
Applicants must have completed an ACGME accredited residency in general surgery, neurological surgery, orthopaedic surgery, otolaryngology, thoracic surgery, urology, or vascular surgery. Alternatively, applicants may have a medical degree and completed a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery approved by the American Dental Association, with a minimum of two years in a general surgery residency that satisfies ACGME Program requirements.
