The EC HealthNet Family Medicine Residency Program, part of the East Central Mississippi Health Network Inc., is designed to deliver comprehensive healthcare training through a structured residency experience. The program is housed within the EC HealthNet Family Health Center, the only family medicine clinic in the area that allows residents to not only treat patients in the clinic but also continue care for those admitted to the hospital. Training Sites

Residents benefit from training across multiple healthcare facilities, including those operated by Ochsner Rush Health System and Baptist Anderson Regional Health System. This exposure not only allows residents to gain experience in urban settings but also ensures they are well-equipped to serve rural populations.

Program Benefits

The residency program provides competitive salary packages, starting at $50,000 for PGY1 and increasing to $52,000 for PGY3, alongside substantial employer-paid benefits amounting to over $10,000 annually. A comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, educational stipends, and reimbursement for licensing and exam fees. In addition, residents are entitled to 21 days of paid time off each year.

Application Requirements

To apply for the program, candidates must meet specific criteria including the following:

• Must be graduates of medical school within the last three years.
• International medical graduates (IMGs) are required to have completed at least 50% of their clinical rotations in the United States, and they must have passed USMLE Step 1, Step 2, and the Clinical Skills Examination.
• Applicants must submit at least three letters of recommendation.
• No visa sponsorship is available for the program.
