Program Application Requirements

To be considered for the residency, candidates must have completed one year of graduate medical training in an ACGME-accredited program such as a preliminary internal medicine, surgical year or transitional year. Additional prerequisites include:

• Passing scores on the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or an equivalent
• Completion of the ERAS and supplemental ERAS applications
• Three letters of recommendation from medical professionals familiar with the applicant’s abilities
• A letter from the medical school dean and medical school transcripts
• International medical graduates must obtain a valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) 1.
