Florida International University / Baptist Health Program

Curriculum

The residency curriculum is designed around block rotations that typically last several weeks, allowing participants to gain a comprehensive exposure to different aspects of neurology. Moreover, elective rotations in both inpatient and outpatient settings are available, permitting residents to tailor their educational journey to align with their career aspirations. Application Requirements

The program is dedicated to attracting exceptional applicants to serve the South Florida community. The admission process requires prospective residents to meet specific eligibility criteria, including:

• Passing USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK or COMLEX 1 and 2.
• Eligibility to register as a resident physician with the state of Florida.
• Completion of the ERAS application.
• Submission of USMLE Steps 1, 2, and 3 scores.
• A personal statement.
• Three letters of recommendation from physicians who can attest to the applicant's character and abilities.
• A letter from the medical school dean or Medical Student Performance Evaluation.
• Medical school transcripts.

International medical graduates must have a valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG).
