The Florida International University/Baptist Health General Surgery Residency provides a robust foundation of surgical knowledge and diverse training opportunities to prepare residents for a comprehensive surgical practice. The program is headquartered at Baptist Hospital of Miami, facilitating residents' access to a wide range of surgical cases and high-quality patient care.

Residents have the opportunity to gain clinical experience in state-of-the-art facilities and learn under the guidance of experienced faculty. The program fosters a supportive environment that enables residents to serve a varied patient population with different surgical needs and conditions. Among the advantages of this residency is the exposure to advanced minimally invasive surgical techniques, including specialized procedures in liver, bariatric, and pancreas surgery, as well as vascular interventions.
