Hackensack University Medical Center Program

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Hackensack University Medical Center is an ACGME-accredited four-year program with 16 categorical resident positions. The program focuses on providing comprehensive training in obstetrics and gynecology, emphasizing patient-centered care, teamwork, and innovation. Residents engage in experiential learning in a state-of-the-art hospital with advanced technology, incorporating team-based learning and clinical simulations.

The curriculum includes rotations in specialties such as Gynecologic Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Female Pelvic Floor Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery, among others. Residents benefit from a new medical school, clinical coaching, research mentorship, a wellness program, and over 80 full-time clinical faculty members.

The program emphasizes a strong educational environment with protected didactic time, representation on Departmental and Hospital Committees, and exposure to a diverse patient population. The residents gain experience in high-risk scenarios through a simulation center. Rotations are structured to provide a broad exposure to obstetrics and gynecology subspecialties, preparing graduates for careers in various areas within the field.
