The Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Medical City Arlington is a three-year training program committed to developing the next generation of physicians and leaders in emergency medicine. Training Environment and Facilities

The residency program operates at Medical City Arlington, designated as a Level II Trauma Center by the Texas Department of State Health Services. The emergency department is equipped with 56 beds and focuses on various types of emergencies, including trauma, pediatric conditions, and neurological emergencies, with an annual patient volume exceeding 96,000. Additionally, residents will have the chance to gain experience at Medical City North Hills and Medical City Denton, which also provide substantial clinical exposure.

In partnership with Medical City Children’s Hospital, residents will also obtain pediatric emergency care experience, reinforcing the comprehensive nature of the training.

The residency curriculum offers a structured didactic program throughout the three years, including weekly grand rounds, board review sessions, journal clubs, and various workshops focusing on essential procedural skills such as intubation and ultrasound.
