The Family Medicine Residency program at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV offers a comprehensive three-year residency accredited by the ACGME. Established in 1989, the program emphasizes a strong sense of community, work-life balance, and dedicated faculty support. Residents receive ACLS, BLS, ALSO, and neonatal training/certification. The curriculum covers a wide range of medical specialties and procedures, promoting compassionate patient care and evidence-based medicine.

The application process requires a complete application submitted through ERAS with a personal statement, medical school transcript, USMLE or COMLEX scores (Step 1 and 2), curriculum vitae, three letters of reference (including one from a family physician), and U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status. The application deadline is October 31.

The program leadership focuses on resident-driven education and offers a supportive environment for residents to thrive. The curriculum is designed to cater to each resident's career ambitions and includes elective time for special interests during the second and third years. Graduates have a 100% Board pass rate.

Please note that the residency program specifies that they only accept applications from U.S. citizens or permanent residents at this time and do not support visas.
