Nassau University Medical Center Program

The Nassau University Medical Center Pediatric Residency Program offers a comprehensive training experience that provides a balance between primary care and subspecialty pediatrics. The program is committed to resident education and offers a collegial and supportive atmosphere for learning.

The curriculum includes rotations in a variety of settings such as continuity care sessions, ambulatory rotations, inpatient services, didactic teaching, and research opportunities. Residents also have the chance to experience diverse clinical settings at affiliated institutions like Cohen Children's Medical Center and the State University of New York Health Sciences Center at Stony Brook.

The program consists of three years of training with increasing levels of responsibility. Residents start with foundational experiences in Pediatrics and gradually progress to more advanced clinical and leadership roles. There are also opportunities for elective study and rotations in various pediatric subspecialties throughout the training.

For application eligibility, U.S. Medical Graduates must have completed an accredited/approved medical school or an AOA-accredited college of osteopathic medicine in the U.S. International Medical Graduates must meet specific criteria, including passing USMLE exams, holding a valid ECFMG Certificate, and fulfilling visa sponsorship requirements. The application deadline for all applicants is typically December 1st.
