Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center Program
Pediatrics - Bronx, NY | ACGME Code: 3203531394 | NRMP Code: 1484320M0
The Pediatric Residency Program at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln is dedicated to training extraordinary pediatricians. The three-year program is accredited by ACGME and offers 17 categorical positions per year. The primary learning experience is direct patient care, with a diverse patient population. Residents have opportunities for rotations in academic hospital settings for specialized services like pediatric intensive care, cardiology, and hematology at affiliate hospitals. The program aims to develop residents fully, providing mentorship, support, and guidance from faculty.
Application to the program is conducted through ERAS. Interviews are held from October to January. IMGs must be ECFMG certified and have passed USMLE Steps 1, 2 CK & CS. Though USMLE Step 3 is not required for application, it's recommended to have it before residency starts. The program prefers high scores on exams, pediatric experience, and a genuine interest in pediatrics.
Residents can expect a commitment to diversity in the program and support for their education and well-being. The residency offers a range of benefits, including salary, professional allowance, conference benefits, insurance coverage, and more. The program includes various rotations both at Lincoln Hospital and affiliated medical centers in NYC.
The department emphasizes resident wellness and provides numerous social activities throughout the year. Residents can enjoy living in New York City with its vibrant cultural scene. The program offers opportunities for scholarly work and research, with mentorship and support provided. Residents are encouraged to present their work at conferences.
