The Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Dermatology Residency Program is a three-year program accredited by the ACGME that started in 2001. They accept one resident per year and provide a focus on clinical dermatology to develop residents' competence. The program includes outpatient dermatology clinics, didactic sessions on Friday afternoons, specialty clinics, and opportunities for research.

Application requirements include submission of an ERAS application, dean's letter, medical school transcript, copy of medical school diploma, two letters of reference, and an ECFMG Certificate or letter. Applicants must have completed a year of internship or residency accredited by the ACGME or the Royal College of Physicians in Canada.
