Curriculum Structure

The curriculum consists of both core rotations and elective experiences. Residents spend 28 weeks focused on Fundamental Clinical Skills (FCS) and 16 weeks on elective rotations. Core rotations include Emergency Medicine, In-patient Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and General Surgery, among others. Residents also select from various electives like Anesthesia, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and more. Applications to the Transitional Year Residency Program must be submitted via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Applicants are expected to submit components including a personal statement, letters of recommendation, and USMLE or COMLEX transcripts. The program prefers applicants with scores above the recommended thresholds and a maximum of one failure in USMLE or COMLEX exams. International Medical Graduates (IMGs) must have ECFMG certification to be considered for an interview.
