The Family Medicine Residency Program at UAMS North Central Regional Campus offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes rotations in various specialties such as inpatient medicine, pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics, and outpatient family medicine. Residents have opportunities for electives and are required to complete rotations in principles of family medicine, musculoskeletal medicine, and other key areas.

Application requirements for the program include passing USMLE Step 1 & 2/COMLEX 1 & 2 scores with three attempts or less, USMLE/COMLEX transcript, medical school transcript, dean's letter (MPSE), three letters of recommendation, no more than three years out of medical school, at least one year of supervised clinical experience in a US healthcare facility within the last two years, a valid driver's license, and a valid ECFMG certificate if applicable. The program participates in the NRMP and follows ethical guidelines in resident selection.

Residents in the program receive competitive salaries and benefits that include CME funds, vacation time, health and dental insurance, malpractice insurance, life insurance, and coverage for courses such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP. Additionally, residents receive paid USMLE 3 registration, AAFP membership, free meals for conferences, and parking among other benefits.

Please note that this program does not sponsor visas and requires COVID-19 vaccination for employment. The UAMS North Central Family Medical Center and White River Medical Center are key facilities associated with the program, providing a rich clinical experience in a supportive learning environment.
