The primary training site for the fellowship is the interventional pain clinic located at the University of Kentucky Clinic South, which handles an impressive volume of patient care, performing approximately 2,800 clinic visits and 1,500 procedures annually. Fellows also engage in training at UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital, where they gain experience in acute pain management and perioperative anesthesia.

Palliative care training is provided both at UK Medical Center and Bluegrass Care Navigators. This variety exposes fellows to a broad spectrum of clinical situations, vital for their professional development.
