Competitiveness and Specific Requirements: The program accepts applications from candidates who have completed at least two years of primary specialty training, most frequently from ACGME-accredited residencies in Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Obstetrics and Gynecology. This makes the program relatively friendly towards graduates of DO and IMG schools since candidates from specific backgrounds often fulfill the program's competitive criteria. Additionally, applicants need to submit documentation through ERAS, including a Curriculum Vitae, personal statement, letters of recommendation, and USMLE or COMLEX exam scores. The program does not accept applications from those who have multiple failed attempts at the Step exams or have completed their medical education far in the past.
