The University of Puerto Rico, School of Medicine Residency Program in Obstetrics and Gynecology is a well-balanced four-year program with a maximum of 5 residents per year. The program offers a comprehensive education in obstetrics, gynecology, and women's health. Residents are selected based on their application, medical school transcript, recommendation letters, rotations, and personal interviews.
Upon completion of the program, residents will have in-depth training in primary and preventive care of women, gynecologic surgery, normal and high-risk obstetrics, urogynecology, reproductive endocrinology, and gynecologic oncology. The program aims to prepare residents to become independent practitioners with skills to face future challenges.
