The UPMC Lititz Internal Medicine Residency Program offers an osteopathically designated program through ACGME accreditation. Eligibility requirements include being a graduate of an osteopathic or LCME-accredited medical school within the past two years. Applicants must complete a minimum of 160 hours of osteopathic training and submit various application materials through ERAS by December 1, including passing COMLEX or USMLE scores.

The program focuses on training residents in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. It aims to produce competent general internists and hospitalists for urban and resource-limited communities. The curriculum covers all internal medicine fields with an evidence-based medicine approach and includes opportunities for leadership, research, and community engagement.
