The Adena Regional Medical Center Program has partnered with the Chillicothe VA to offer a fully-accredited Psychiatry Residency Program through its Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program. This partnership aims to develop highly-skilled psychiatrists to meet the region's demand for behavioral health services. The program is the only behavioral health residency program in the region.

The four-year program begins in July 2019, with 12 residents completing rotations at the Chillicothe VA, the Adena Counseling Center, and Adena Regional Medical Center. The program provides a diverse and integrative experience to prepare residents for the comprehensive world of Medicine.
