The Broward Health Ophthalmology Residency Program is a 4-year ACGME accredited surgical training program with an integrated internship year. The program aims to train outstanding Community Ophthalmologists in Broward and South Palm Beach Counties in South Florida. Residents will have clinical rotations in Level 1 and Level 2 trauma centers, outpatient clinics, and surgery centers. The curriculum includes a tailored transitional year with three months of dedicated ophthalmology experience, a well-rounded clinical experience, a comprehensive academic program, and exposure to acute care clinical and surgical experiences. The program focuses on providing diverse training across multiple hospitals and clinical settings. Graduates are eligible for certification by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

For the application process, most Broward Health programs use ERAS for documents like a personal statement, Curriculum Vitae, letters of recommendation, Dean's Letter, USMLE or COMLEX transcript with scores, and a recent professional photo.
