The University of California Davis Health Program offers a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Residency Program designed to provide excellent training in the entire scope of PM&R practice. They offer twelve residency positions, including both categorical and advanced positions. The program has a low resident/faculty ratio, allowing for regular one-on-one interaction with faculty members. The diverse faculty includes specialists in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine, SCI, Neuromuscular Medicine, Sports Medicine, Spine, EMG, and Brain Injury Medicine.

Residents at UC Davis Health Program gain clinical experience through rotations at UC Davis Medical Center, UC Davis Rehabilitation Hospital, VA Northern California Healthcare System, Kaiser Foundation Hospital, and Shriners Children's Northern California. Outpatient clinics cater to patients with neurological, musculoskeletal, and neuromuscular disorders, including specialized clinics for ALS and MDA. PM&R is an essential part of the UC Davis Spine Center.
