Program Curriculum
The curriculum includes extensive rotations not only in general obstetrics and gynecology but also across various subspecialties. These rotations comprise maternal-fetal medicine (high-risk pregnancy), gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, family planning, as well as female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. Training Sites
Residents will train at multiple facilities, including HCA Florida North Florida Hospital, the Women’s Group of North Florida for ambulatory rotations, and the Women’s Pelvic Health center for urogynecology rotations. The variety of training sites facilitates a broad range of experience, ensuring that residents encounter a wide spectrum of cases and clinical practices in obstetrics and gynecology 2.
Resident Benefits
Residents receive numerous benefits as part of the program. This includes medical, dental, and life insurance as well as retirement plans. A total of 15 days of paid vacation per year is granted to first-year residents, which increases to 20 days for second- and third-year residents 1. Furthermore, the program supports continuing medical education with allowances for conferences and board reviews.

The program also covers several subscription costs for valuable medical resources such as UpToDate, MKSAP, UWorld, ClinicalKey, AccessMedicine, and NEJM Resident 360. Additionally, residents are provided with meal cards, call rooms, VPN accounts for remote access to medical records and library resources, as well as necessary technology devices like an iPhone and a laptop 1.
Application Requirements
Applicants must have graduated from medical school within the past two years to apply for the program. All examinations (USMLE or COMLEX) must be passed without any failures and submitted by the application deadline. The program only accepts J1 visa sponsorships through the ECFMG. No specific score requirements are mandated, but competitive scores are advantageous. Applicants are expected to submit a comprehensive application through ERAS, including a personal statement, medical school transcript, letters of recommendation, and other pertinent documents 1.
