West Virginia University Program

The Dermatology residency program at West Virginia University (WVU) is a three-year ACGME-accredited program, the only one in the state. The program boasts a 100% board pass rate and accepts two new residents annually. Residents at WVU see an average of 425 patients and 20 consults per month and are supervised by a team of six board-certified dermatologists, including specialists in Mohs surgery and Pediatric Dermatology. The program offers a balance between clinic care and research opportunities, with a focus on clinical trials and academic pursuits.

Application to the WVU Dermatology Residency Program involves submission through ERAS, with a deadline before December 15. The required application components include the ERAS application form, medical school transcript, board scores (minimum USMLE score of 225), personal statement, MSPE, and at least three letters of recommendation. The program offers two available positions and sponsors J-1 visas only.
