The Family Medicine Residency Program at Westchester General Hospital, Inc. provides a comprehensive three-year training experience in family medicine. This program is designed to equip residents with the requisite skills and knowledge to qualify for board certification via the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP).

To maximize learning experiences, nearly all ancillary procedures are managed by technical support staff, allowing residents to focus on patient care at the bedside.

Approximately 51% to 100% of residents accepted in the program are IMGs, making it a highly IMG-friendly program.

Applicants are advised that there is a preference for those who have graduated from medical school within the last five years and for those who possess an ECFMG certificate at the time of application.
