The Family Medicine Residency Program at Community Health of South Florida, Inc. (CHI) is a three-year program designed to prepare residents to care for a multicultural and diverse population. Residents have the opportunity to train at Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), which increases the likelihood of them staying in underserved communities where they are needed most.

The program's curriculum spans 36 months and is in accordance with ACGME and ABFM guidelines. Residents engage in various clinical rotations across different specialties, including Inpatient Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Geriatrics, Psychiatry, OB/GYN, Dermatology, Community Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Urology, Pediatrics, and more. Additionally, there are interdisciplinary lectures focusing on Social Determinants of Health (SDOH), research, journal clubs, and statistics.

Recruitment for new residents happens annually, with applicants applying through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Final resident rankings are submitted to the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) to determine matches with programs. The program also offers weekly protected time for didactic lectures, mentorship meetings, and various procedure clinics for skill enhancement.
