The Creighton University School of Medicine Urology Residency Program is committed to preparing residents for careers in academic medicine or private practice urology. The program focuses on providing compassionate clinical and surgical care while upholding ethical standards and laws guiding modern medicine. Residents will experience increasing levels of responsibility in patient care, promoting ethical and compassionate patient care in line with Jesuit principles.
Application Requirements: - Applications accepted through ERAS must be received by Nov. 1. - Factors considered for interviews include STEP exam scores, ECFMG pathways for Step 2 CS, letters of recommendation, Dean's Letter, and scholastic performance.
The program aims to: - Produce clinical urologists well-versed in evidence-based medicine. - Train competent surgeons capable of treating a wide range of urological conditions. - Provide care for a diverse patient population, including an emphasis on caring for Veterans. - Have a strong emphasis on using national guidelines in clinical decision-making.
The program supports a multidisciplinary approach with opportunities for residents to engage in various conferences and presentations. Residents will also have the chance to rotate at different training locations, including Phoenix Children's Hospital for pediatric urology training.
The program participates in the AUA Resident Match Program and is accredited by the ACGME for two residents per year. Residents are selected without regard to race, gender, or religion.
