Inspira Health Network/Inspira Medical Center Vineland Program

The Internal Medicine Residency program at Inspira Medical Center Vineland in New Jersey provides a comprehensive three-year training accredited by the ACGME. Located centrally in Vineland, New Jersey, residents benefit from diverse patient care experiences and advanced practice settings across South Jersey.

The program offers a unique 4 + 1 curriculum where residents spend four weeks in hospital rotations and one week in an outpatient primary care setting. Residents have the opportunity to specialize in Hospitalist Medicine or Primary Care tracks, each providing focused training and experience.

Required rotations include specialties such as Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, Infectious Disease, and Pulmonology, with elective rotations available in various fields. Residents participate in daily didactics, simulation lab experiences, and research opportunities to enhance their learning.

Longitudinal experiences supplement the training, offering sessions in resident-led literature reviews, board review programs, and hands-on ultrasound medical training. Residents can also engage in various committees and initiatives across Inspira Health, involving themselves in leadership development and quality improvement projects.

The program boasts experienced and supportive faculty members, including Dr. Lin Zheng, the Program Director with a strong commitment to research in healthcare quality and patient safety. The Assistant Program Director, Dr. Danielle Chimento, is dedicated to mentoring trainees in evidence-based medicine and hospitalist medicine. Dr. Gayatri D. Borra, the Program Director for the Primary Care Track, focuses on quality improvement, patient safety, and providing patient-centered care.
