With rotations in both inpatient and outpatient settings throughout Southern New Jersey, residents receive diverse patient care experiences. The program focuses on providing in-depth clinical experiences under the mentorship of committed house officers, university faculty, and attending physicians, aiming to mold well-rounded physicians.

The curriculum consists of 13 four-week blocks, including core rotations in Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Cardiology, ICU, Internal Medicine, Outpatient Family Medicine, Neuromuscular Medicine, and Night Medicine. Elective rotations in Neurology, Anesthesia, Radiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Geriatric Medicine allow residents to tailor their training to individual interests and needs.

The program has been described as a "hidden gem" by residents, offering tailored electives, abundant golden weekends, and the opportunity to complete three months of electives. With typically one 24-hour call per rotation (except for night float and ICU), structured sign-out times, intern lectures, and weekly afternoon didactics, the program provides a supportive learning environment.

Residents from various medical schools have found success in the program, with a focus on specialties such as Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Anesthesia, and Radiology.

South Jersey, part of the Philadelphia metropolitan area, offers a vibrant community with various amenities like restaurants, shopping, hiking, live music, art, history, and the Jersey Shore.
