The Medical College of Wisconsin Plastic Surgery Integrated Residency Program is a six-year program with a rich history, being one of the first accredited integrated programs in the field. The program boasts 17 full-time faculty members, including 15 surgeons, two rehabilitation psychologists, and adjunct community surgeons.

Residents in this program gain extensive experience in clinical pathology, patient care, and surgical procedures with graduated autonomy. The training prepares residents for careers in academic or private practice, as well as for pursuing fellowship opportunities.

Throughout the program: - PGY 1-2: Residents spend time on various services including Plastic Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Anesthesia, Orthopaedic Trauma, and several Surgery specialties. - PGY 3-4: Emphasis on Plastic Surgery, Hand, and Facial Trauma services with rotations in Dermatologic Surgery and Oculoplastic Surgery. - PGY 5: Rotations between Plastic Surgery and Craniofacial services. - PGY 6: Rotations at Froedtert Hospital and the Milwaukee VA, with a focus on administration and a dedicated aesthetic rotation.

The Medical College of Wisconsin Plastic Surgery Integrated Residency Program offers 2 first-year integrated positions annually and is fully accredited by the ACGME. Applicants go through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) for the application process.
