Memorial Health System Program

The Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Memorial Health System (MHS) has been preparing dedicated providers and bright minds for almost 10 years. The curriculum is designed to foster lifelong growth and build strong clinicians. Residents benefit from an innovative curriculum, exceptional training across three diverse sites, and receive personalized career development support.

This program offers a robust learning environment where residents start caring for patients from the beginning of their residency. During the orientation month, residents receive certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS to ensure they are prepared for their clinical duties. Additionally, the program utilizes a Teaching Resident during the orientation month to assist with the transition from a medical student to a physician role.

Key Faculty Members: - Dr. Daniel Jarrell, DO, FACEP, the Program Director, is committed to providing educational support for residents to reach their full potential. - Dr. Gayle Galan, MD, FACEP, a core faculty member, has been instrumental in the development of the residency program and has a passion for teaching emergency medicine. - Dr. Julian Jakubowski, DO, FACEP, has professional interests in point-of-care ultrasound and evidence-based medicine. - Dr. Janelle Thomas, MD, a faculty member, brings experience and expertise in emergency medicine.
