Rush University Medical Center Program

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Rush University Medical Center provides comprehensive training in primary, subspecialty, and preventive care. Residents work alongside renowned faculty in diverse settings over the four-year program, preparing them for future specialty training, academic, or private practice.

Application to the program must be done via ERAS by October 01 as late applications are not considered for interviews. The program values diversity and inclusion, offering opportunities for underrepresented medical students through the Visiting Scholars Program.

Residents at Rush University Medical Center engage in diverse clinical rotations, emphasizing low-risk obstetrics, gynecologic oncology, and ambulatory medicine in their PGY-1 year and progressing to more complex care in subsequent years. Additionally, the program provides supportive wellness initiatives, access to mentorship, and emphasizes a culture of community and support.

The curriculum includes educational sessions focusing on patient safety, research, and quality improvement.
