The University of Tennessee Health Science Center Department of Psychiatry offers a comprehensive Psychiatry Residency program. The application requirements include submitting materials such as ERAS application, personal statement, medical school transcript, MSPE, USMLE or COMLEX scores, and a minimum of three letters of recommendation. While they consider applications holistically without specific USMLE score requirements, a passing score for Step 1/Part 1 is required initially.

For International Medical Graduates (IMG), the program has specific requirements, including a passing score of 230 on USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK on the first attempt, and graduation from medical school within the last three years or relevant clinical experience. Applicants must submit a valid ECFMG certificate by a specified deadline and the program does not routinely sponsor J-1 Visas and cannot sponsor H visas.
