The University of Tennessee Health Science Center Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program offers a comprehensive four-year training program in Obstetrics and Gynecology. The program aims to educate residents in various subspecialties within the field, including Gynecologic Oncology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. Applicants must submit a complete application through the Association American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

For international medical graduates, the program offers a J1 Visa only and does not support H visas. USMLE scores of 230 or better are preferred, and applicants should have passed Step 1 and 2 on the first attempt. Interviews are granted by invitation only and are conducted virtually via Zoom from October to December.

The program curriculum includes a variety of rotations in obstetrics and gynecology subspecialties, along with conferences, simulation workshops, and clinical case discussions. Residents have the opportunity to engage in research projects and present their findings at the Annual Bradford Kincheloe Visiting Professor Lecture and Resident Research Forum.

The clinical training sites for the program include Regional One Health, Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, and the Memphis VA Medical Center. Continuity of care clinics are maintained to provide residents with hands-on experience and a primary care patient population.
