STEP 240

The Dermatology Residency Program at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine is a traditional three-year structured program with a focus on clinical dermatology. Established in 1977, the program accepts approximately two residents per year. Residents have opportunities for clinical research during their training.

Training sites for residents include Wright State Physicians medical building on campus, the Dayton VA Medical Center, and inpatient consults at Miami Valley Hospital. Residents receive a competitive salary with additional benefits such as an educational stipend for books and resources, as well as support for research-based activities.

For the 2023 program, Wright State University will be accepting two residents with a start date of July 1, 2025. The application deadline is October 20, 2023. Applicants selected for interviews will have the option of two interview dates in December 2023 and January 2024.

Residents at Wright State University benefit from accessible and free parking at all training facilities. The program encourages applicants without an internship to consider the transitional year offered by nearby Kettering Medical Center or Soin Medical Center, although matching with these programs is not a requirement for acceptance to the Dermatology Residency Program.
