Broward Health Program

The Broward Health Emergency Medicine Residency Program is a three-year ACGME accredited post-graduate training program directed by Kevin Boehm, DO. The program is designed to prepare physicians for the specialty practice of Emergency Medicine, with successful graduates being eligible for certification by the American Board of Emergency Medicine.

Residents in this program have the opportunity to rotate through Broward Health North, Broward Health Medical Center, and the Salah Foundation Children's Hospital at Broward Health. These sites provide a wide range of experiences in trauma care, critical care, pediatrics, and more.

Key highlights of the program include over 150,000 patient visits between the two sites, Level I and Level II trauma centers, a focus on ultrasound education, dedicated airway equipment labs, and a commitment to continuous medical education and training resources.

The diverse faculty interests in areas such as EMS, international medicine, technology, and advocacy contribute to a well-rounded educational experience for residents. The program aims to produce well-trained resuscitationists capable of practicing in any medical environment.
