The USA Health Emergency Medicine Residency Program is a fully accredited program by the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Established in July 2019, this program enrolls six residents per year and spans a duration of three years. The residency is housed within USA Health hospitals, including the USA Health University Hospital, a state-certified Level I trauma center and nationally ranked burn center. This hospital serves as a major referral center for southwest Alabama, southeast Mississippi, and portions of northwest Florida.

The program boasts a diverse faculty, offering residents exposure to various practice patterns and interpretations of medical literature. Residents have the opportunity to witness different approaches to medicine and develop their own practice patterns.
