The Transitional Year Residency Program at Conway Medical Center, sponsored by Campbell University, offers 15 approved positions. The program provides a comprehensive clinical experience covering core outpatient and inpatient rotations as well as subspecialty rotations required by the ACGME. Didactics consist of one half-day per week with lectures, case presentations, book club, journal club, and board reviews. Residents participate in daily morning reports, patient rounds, monthly morbidity, and mortality conferences, and Tumor Boards.
Residents receive an annual salary of $56,000 along with a continuing education allowance of $1500 per year. In terms of eligibility, applicants must be eligible for a South Carolina license, pass USMLE Step 1 and USMLE Step 2 CK/CS, or COMLEX Level 1/COMLEX Level 2 PE and CE within the last two years of medical school graduation. There should be no failed attempts on any USMLE or COMLEX examinations. Graduates with more than two failed attempts may be considered on an individual basis. The program only accepts applicants through ERAS and does not sponsor visas.
