This surgery program at Lehigh Valley Health Network offers a fully accredited five-year general surgery residency that prepares graduates for independent practice and board certification in general surgery. The program includes six categorical positions and two preliminary positions. For application instructions, the program accepts eight applicants annually via ERAS, with an application deadline set for October 15th. Interviews are conducted in the fall and winter.

The program provides comprehensive resident operative experiences across diverse categories, exceeding the RRC's minimum required numbers for various surgical procedures. Lastly, residents get opportunities to present research at national and regional meetings.
