These partnerships expand the clinical experiences available to residents, allowing them to encounter a diverse patient population and a variety of clinical cases.

Residents engage in comprehensive training across core areas of obstetrics and gynecology, supplemented by elective rotations. In their third year, residents undertake a 9-week elective rotation, providing opportunities for individualized curriculum enhancement. This can include international rotations, research initiatives, or other specialized training efforts that align with individual career goals.

Research is a pivotal component of the residency program at Tufts. The program emphasizes collaboration with research mentors who guide residents through their research endeavors. Whether residents are interested in clinical or translational research, Tufts provides a rich environment for inquiry and advancement. Residents may also have opportunities to present their research at national and regional conferences, thereby enhancing their scholarly presence in the field.

The program acknowledges the importance of career development, matching residents with mentors who help shape both their clinical and research pathways. Faculty members are dedicated to ensuring that each resident achieves their highest potential through structured mentorship and support.
