Western Reserve Health Education/NEOMED Program

The Western Reserve Health Education Family Medicine Residency Program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), designed to immerse residents in both clinical excellence and comprehensive medical education. Application Requirements

The program admits six categorical PGY1 positions annually through the National Resident Match Program, requiring applicants to submit a complete application via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). A complete application includes the following:

• Dean’s Letter
• Medical School Transcript
• Written Personal Statement
• Three letters of recommendation (at least two from Family Medicine departments)
• USMLE Scores (Steps I and II)
• ECFMG Certification, if applicable

To be considered, candidates must have graduated from a U.S. or foreign medical school within the last two years and should demonstrate success in USMLE (Steps I and II) without any failures. The program may consider J-1 visa sponsorship on a case-by-case basis, enhancing its accessibility for international medical graduates.
